About your instructor
My name is Jessica Brown and I am the owner of Faith and Fins Infant Aquatics LLC. I became certified in May of 2021. I have over 180 hours of in water training as well as education in child development and behavior. I am CPR and AED certified.Combining years of experience and educational background with the physics of swimming, Infant Aquatics has developed the safest and most comprehensive baby swimming lessons possible.
About Me
My name is Jessica Brown. I met my husband in college and we have been married since 2016. We have four amazing children who keep me on my toes! I enjoy being outdoors, crafting, and going to all of my kids sport events!
Why I Teach
After seeing my daughter swimming in the water at just 18 months old, I was amazed! She was swimming independently and rolling to float on her back whenever she needed air. She was able to find the air and get her breath on her own whenever she needed it. The next year we put her in for refreshers and put our 9 month old son in it for the first time. After watching both of them every day for 6 weeks I was even more amazed than before. I shared so many videos online of my kids and what they had learned to do and quickly realized hardly anyone in my area knew about these lessons. The Infant Aquatics Instructor who taught my kids had a waitlist that was full every year. There was not an Infant Aquatics Instructor in Mississippi yet and I knew we needed an instructor for our community. I started looking into becoming certified and offering these lessons. I prayed, raised money, and went to Texas for 6 weeks to train in 2021. I love what I do and I love feeling like I am making a difference in our small community!
